Just 3 Weeks to Go

I kept running on Monday and Tuesday with the usual runs.  This meant running on 6 consecutive days, so time for a break and to allow my legs to recover.

After 4 days off and feeling fresh again I took on just one last long run 3 weeks before Marathon day. After a couple of miles warm up, I was joined by Stef and Baz for a half marathon around Hungerton and Cold Newton, so quite a hilly route, run at a steady pace.  After completing the 13.1 miles with my 2 running buddies I kept going for another few miles – making approx 19 miles in total. Felt good afterwards – if the marathon was next week, I think I’d be ready!


Target = 42 miles
Monday – 6.5m fast
Tuesday – 5m intervals
Wednesday – rest
Thurs – rest
Friday – rest
Saturday – rest
Sunday – 19m
Total = 30.5 miles
